Unlock a world of knowledge with the Delaware Research Packet and Project Rubric, designed to make learning engaging for middle and high school students. This comprehensive packet features a ready-to-use packet—crafted to foster research skills and curiosity about Delaware. Perfect for classroom use, homeschool or independent study, the packet includes a clearly defined rubric to ensure successful project completion.

Delaware was was the first state to ratify the U.S. Constitution on December 7, 1787, earning it the nickname “The First State.” It also played a key role during the American Revolution and early colonial trade, thanks to its strategic location along the Atlantic coast and the Delaware River. With its beautiful coastlines and well-known seafood, Delaware is a great place to live and visit.

With this activity, students will learn this and more about the state of Delaware, including its state symbols, state quarter, geography, government and more. They will answer 40 questions about the state, including coloring in the state flag and labeling a provided map of the state. These questions span a total of five pages.

Then, students will use what they learned in their research to create a poster about the state. There is a provided rubric that you may pass out to students for this poster, which outlines what to include and how to make the poster. (This make the student packet a total of six pages).

This product also includes answers to every question in the student packet, teacher tips, instructional and prep directions and materials list.

By the end of this project, students will have a good knowledge about the history, culture and geography of the state of Delaware.
