Immerse your students in history with our Pearl Harbor Interactive Map Activity. This engaging educational tool enables learners to complete a detailed map of the Pearl Harbor attack, offering a hands-on experience that enhances understanding of this pivotal event. Our map activity is ideal for classrooms, homeschooling, or history enthusiasts.

The bombing of Pearl Harbor hit America hard on December 7, 1941. Many would say that this was the point that pushed the United States over the edge to join in World War I.

The purpose of this activity is to help students understand the physical locations of the attack on Pearl Harbor. It also helps with map skills, identifying locations and using a map to answer critical thinking questions.

There are two main steps to this activity:

  1. The students will have a blank map on which they color the different ships that were located in Pearl Harbor during the attack. They will color them based on how damaged they were after the attack.

  2. Then, students will use their map and the “Report on Pearl Harbor” paper to answer the questions on the page that follows.

To do this activity, students will need:

  • Copies of the map, "Attack on Pearl Harbor" paper, and the question paper (INCLUDED)

  • A red, orange, yellow and black marker/colored pencil/crayon

  • A pencil

Included in this product:

  1. Pearl Harbor blank map with blank ship locations and key

  2. "Attack on Pearl Harbor" paper (which lists the ships and how damaged they were because of the attack)

  3. Pearl Harbor map questions

  4. Answer Key for map and questions
