Several popular verses in the New Testament revolve around the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. With this packet for middle school and high school students, they can see several examples from scripture of people who exemplified each of these fruits.

First, students will use their Bibles to read the provided passages, including the fruit of the spirit in Galatians 5. Then, they will look up the provided verse references and answer questions about people in the Bible who were good examples of each fruit.

For example, for the fruit "peace," students will read about Abigail and how she saved her first husband from David with a peace offering (1 Samuel 25). They will answer several questions about the account.

Each fruit in this packet has two examples that the students will read and answer questions about. One example is from an account when Jesus exemplified the fruit and the other is from when another person from scripture showed the fruit.

Then, each student will be given one of the fruits of the spirit as their topic and they will create a mini poster about the examples they read about from the Bible and they will include two pictures. They will follow the provided rubric in the packets to make their poster.
