Yellowstone National Park was the first established National Park! It comes with incredible elements that it is very well known for: hydrothermal features. This includes the famous Old Faithful geyser!
This activity encourages students to learn about the four main hydrothermal features that are found in Yellowstone National Park: geysers, fumaroles, mudpots and hot springs.
There are two main steps to this activity:
They will rotate to four different stations that have info sheets about each of the four features. As they visit each station, they will record the information that they gather on a chart.
Once they have their information, they will create a booklet about Yellowstone and each of the features that they learned about.
