Book of the Bible Research and Presentation

Unlock the treasures of the Bible with our 'Book of the Bible Research and Presentation' resource. Students will dive deep into a comprehensive study of a selected book of the Bible and showcase their findings through a presentation to the class. This engaging activity not only enhances biblical knowledge but also hones research and public speaking skills. Ideal for educational settings, Bible study groups, homeschool co-ops or personal enrichment, this resource is a must-have for anyone looking to deepen their scriptural understanding.

Students will choose and research a specific book of the Bible, then they will do a presentation about it to the class. This activity allows students to really focus on one book and learn enough to be able to teach about it to the class.

Students will research questions like: who do historians think wrote this book? Describe the 3 major themes of this book. and list and describe 5 major events that took place in or surrounding this book.

They will write down the answers to these questions in a 2 page packet, then they will work on their presentation.

Their presentation needs to include the information that they researched. They also need to bring in or create a visual aid of something that represents their book or a major item mentioned in the book. An example could be a small replica of Noah's Ark, the Ark of the Covenant or a 3D model of the Temple.

Students will take notes about the other presentations in their "presentation notes" packet, which is also provided.

This activity usually takes about a week and a half to complete, with the first week consisting of researching the information, preparing the presentations and making the visual aids. The second week is the presentations.

For this activity, you will need:

• Pencil

• Bible

• Copy of “Book of the Bible Research and Presentation” packet for each student (INCLUDED)

• Copy of “Book of the Bible Presentation Notes” packet for each student (INCLUDED)

• Ability to research (computer, laptop, Chromebook etc.)

• Timer for presentations (I usually use my phone)

• Optional: craft supplies for making visual aids
